We are thrilled to invite you to our 2025 Global Summit, a two-day virtual event streaming live on Twitch on May 28–29, 2025. Presented in English and in Spanish, this year’s summit will spotlight the bold, creative, and resilient ways LGBTQ+ youth and advocates worldwide are leading change in their communities — all through the powerful lens of storytelling, advocacy, and gaming.

With a vibrant mix of panels, live gaming segments, and youth-led discussions, the summit will be a bilingual celebration of global LGBTQ+ resistance and joy. Whether you’re tuning in from North America, Latin America, or anywhere else, you’ll find inspiration in the stories of young people who are creating space and demanding better for queer and trans communities worldwide.

Day 1: Wednesday, May 28 – English Programming

Opening Session:
Kick things off with a warm welcome from the It Gets Better’s global leadership team, sharing our vision for empowerment, connection, and community.

Affiliate Showcase:
Empowering LGBTQ+ Youth in a Shifting Political Landscape
Affiliates from around the globe will highlight how they’re navigating complex political climates while continuing to support and uplift LGBTQ+ youth.

Gaming Segment:
Join LGBTQ+ content creators JenIsOnline and OhGawdKate for a live gaming session playing Minecraft! This segment blends fun with purpose as we explore how gaming can be a platform for resistance and community-building.

Grantee Showcase:
Leveling Up: How LGBTQ+ Youth Are Fighting Back Globally
Hear directly from LGBTQ+ youth advocates and grantees leading initiatives in their regions to push for justice, safety, and visibility.

Day 2: Thursday, May 29 – Spanish Programming

Opening Session:
We welcome our Spanish-speaking audience with opening remarks from the It Gets Better México team, sharing their work and leadership across the region.

Youth Showcase:
Youth-Led Initiatives in Latin America: Queer Youth & Advocacy
Meet young leaders from Latin America who are organizing, creating, and fighting for a more just future for the LGBTQ+ community.

Gaming Segment:
Soccer and LGBTQ+ Inclusion in Sports: Leveling the Playing Field
We explore how the world of sports and gaming can be spaces for inclusion while playing a round of FIFA with a queer-centered lens.

Youth Segment:
Student Groups in Action: Community-Building on Campus
From school clubs to university organizations, we highlight how young people are creating safe, affirming spaces in their educational environments.

Estamos emocionades de invitarte a nuestra Cumbre Global 2025, un evento virtual de dos días que se transmitirá en vivo por Twitch los días 28 y 29 de mayo de 2025. Presentado en inglés y en español, este año la cumbre destacará las formas valientes, creativas y resilientes en las que juventudes LGBTQ+ y personas aliadas están liderando el cambio en sus comunidades, todo a través del poderoso lente de la narrativa, la incidencia y el gaming.

Con una vibrante mezcla de paneles, segmentos de videojuegos en vivo y conversaciones lideradas por juventudes, esta cumbre será una celebración bilingüe de la resistencia y la alegría LGBTQ+ a nivel global. Ya sea que te unas desde América del Norte, América Latina u otra parte del mundo, encontrarás inspiración en las historias de jóvenes que están creando espacios y exigiendo un mejor presente y futuro para las comunidades queer y trans en todo el planeta.

Sesión de Apertura:
Comenzamos con una cálida bienvenida del equipo global de liderazgo de It Gets Better, compartiendo nuestra visión de empoderamiento, conexión y comunidad.

Presentación de Afiliades:
Empoderando a las Juventudes LGBTQ+ en un Escenario Político Cambiante
Afiliades de todo el mundo compartirán cómo están navegando contextos políticos complejos mientras siguen apoyando y elevando a las juventudes LGBTQ+.

Segmento de Gaming:
Acompaña a les creadores de contenido LGBTQ+ JenIsOnline y OhGawdKate en una partida en vivo de Minecraft. Este segmento mezcla diversión y propósito al explorar cómo los videojuegos pueden ser plataformas para la resistencia y la creación de comunidad.

Iniciativas Lideradas por Juventudes en América Latina: Activismo y Orgullo
Conoce a jóvenes líderes de América Latina que están organizando, creando y luchando por un futuro más justo para la comunidad LGBTQ+.

Segmento de Gaming:
Fútbol e Inclusión LGBTQ+ en el Deporte: Emparejando el Terreno de Juego
Exploramos cómo los deportes y los videojuegos pueden ser espacios de inclusión mientras jugamos una partida de FIFA con una mirada queer.

Segmento Juvenil:
