Meet the It Gets Better Pride Street Teams

This year, we sent our Youth Voices alumni and ambassadors out into the world — not just to celebrate Pride, but to live it. From handing out stickers to leading chants, from advocating for their rights to simply being visible, our Pride Street Teams showed up in cities across the country with a mission to claim space, spread joy, and remind their communities that LGBTQ+ youth are here to lead. This initiative isn’t about watching history happen. It’s about making sure queer youth know they belong in the center of it. This is what leadership looks like. This is what Pride looks like.

We hit four prides in June, but we’re just getting started. Be on the lookout for street teams at Prides around the country from now through October.
