Gender Dysphoria, Gender Euphoria

[ˈjendər disˈfôrēə / ˈjendər yo͞oˈfôrēə]
  • (Gender Expression)
  • (Gender Identity)

Noun.

Gender dysphoria is the feeling of significant discomfort or distress related to one’s biological sex, gender identity, or expression. Gender euphoria is the feeling of significant right-ness or comfort with one’s biological sex, gender identity, or expression.

Gender dysphoria for me is a time were you feel like you are living the wrong life. Nothing seems right but you can’t quite put your finger on it. Your life may seem perfect but there is something off about it. Gender euphoria is the exact opposite. You found yourself and are exited to live everyday. Your life could not be any more perfect.

GD [Gender Dysphoria] is in short, soul-crushing. I’ve gone to bed feeling like Atlas, the weight of the world on my shoulders, my knees, my knuckles and cheeks; but every morning, I wake up, and the sun still rises. The wind still blows and I still breathe. It gets better.
