Politics can be exhausting and confusing. We know. But understanding voting and elections and your power to make a real impact is critical to making things better for LGBTQ+ people everywhere. So we got to thinking — what are some of the conversations no one is having about politics that we can have here at It Gets Better.

We’ve created a series of quick bite videos designed to pull back the curtain on some issues you may not have even considered. For example — how can you make a real impact if you aren’t eligible to vote? Well, there are a TON of ways to make a difference. What does financial health have to do with politics? A LOT! Why do LGBTQ+ people need to care about the environment? Several reasons, but some of them may surprise you.

There are so many discussions our community needs to be having — half the battle is getting the conversation going. We turned to some of our favorite Instagram and TikTok creators to break things down for you and make politics and elections feel a bit less intimidating.
