About Outside Voices

Outside Voices was created in collaboration with the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus (SFGMC) and the Reaching Youth Through Music (RHYTHM) program. It’s a 6-part workbook that invites participants of all identities to explore the power and importance of storytelling, to craft stories through performance art, and to build skills to perform stories from a place of power. It’s intended for middle and high school students but can be adapted for younger and older audiences.

  • Type: Workbook
  • Genre: Performance Art
  • Length: 6 parts, each comprised of a 30-min lesson plan and a 20-60 min homework activity
