“Hailey is a 17 year-old trans girl who goes to a music academy. At her school, her and her two friends, Lucas, the 17 year-old drummer with a head over heels crush on Hailey, and Willow, the punk bassist who would do anything for their best friend, are in a band called Alter Ego.
They were practicing day and night for Battle of the Bands until a transphobic parent got upset that a trans girl was going to represent the school at Battle of the Bands. The music coordinator pulled their group, but Alter Ego is determined to compete no matter what.”
