The It Gets Better Project is excited to partner with Ryan Jamaal Swain on a campaign titled “#48HoursOfLove” to inspire LGBTQ+ young people who are going back to school and are needing uplifting messages of empowerment and support!

Using the quote from Audre Lorde, “I am deliberate and afraid of nothing” as a prompt – please submit a video or letter to LGBTQ+ youth to let them know you are rooting for their success and that they are loved and celebrated for being their authentic selves!

“I think the most powerful thing that can happen for young people is to be told “I see you.” That alone can provide a touchstone in their lives that is filled with hope. My goal is that #48HoursOfLove” inspires our world to always lead with the most powerful force: love.” – Ryan Jamaal Swain

You have 48 hours starting from 12:00 AM ET on August 14th to get your entry in. Throughout the 48 hours the It Gets Better Project, Ryan Jamaal Swain and friends will share your messages on our social media. One lucky participant will win a signed poster from the cast of POSE on FX!

Submit your entry here! Please be sure to tag it with #48HoursOfLove and post on social media to encourage others to apply!

Please keep videos to 2 minutes in length and written stories to one page double spaced in length. Thank you! We can’t wait to see your letters!
